Adam and Eve

Gen. ch. 2

Lesson Content

1. God formed man out of the dust of the ground. He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and he became a living soul (Gen.2:7). He was called Adam.

2. God planted a garden in Eden for man to dwell in (Gen.2:8).

3. Adam named all living creatures (Gen. 2:19,20).

4. God saw that it was not good that Adam should be alone and thought to make a help meet for him. God caused a deep sleep to come upon him and took one of his ribs and formed a woman out of it. Adam named her Eve (Gen.2:18,21,22; 3:20).

5. Both Adam and Eve lived in Eden. They are our forefathers.

Moral

God created man in His own image. This shows what an excellent creation man is.
