The Centurion’s Servant Healed

Luke 7:1-10

Lesson Content

1. Once Jesus went to Capernaum, where a beloved servant of a centurion was sick and nigh unto death (Lk.7:1,2).

2. The centurion on hearing that Jesus had come there, sent unto Him the elders of the Jews beseeching Jesus to come and heal his servant (Lk.7:3,4).

3. When Jesus was not far from his house the centurion sent friends to Him, saying that he was not worthy that Jesus should come to his house and that it was enough if He said a word and his servant would be healed (Lk.7:6-8).

4. Jesus Who heard this marvelled and said, “I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel” (Lk.7:9).

5. They that were sent returned to find that the servant was healed (Lk.7:10).

Moral

If we humble ourselves and believe the Lord, even today He is faithful to heal us by His word.
