A Friend of the Children

Mark 10:13-16

Lesson Content

1. Some mothers brought their young children to Jesus (Mk.10:13).

2. The mothers desired that Jesus should bless their children (Mk.10:13).

3. The disciples rebuked them as they did not like Jesus to be troubled (Mk.10:13).

4. Seeing this Jesus was much displeased because He greatly loved all the little children. He said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God” (Mk.10:14).

5. Then Jesus took up the children in His arms, put His hands upon them and blessed them (Mk.10:16).

6. Jesus taught about the kingdom of God using children as an example (Mk.10:15).

Moral

Jesus loves us, the little children much. If we desire His blessings and go to Him, He will certainly bless us.
