Esau Loses his Birthright

Gen.25:21-34

Lesson Content

1. Twins born of Rebekah the wife of Isaac (Gen.25:21,24).

2. The revelation given by the Lord concerning them (Gen.25:23).

3. Esau, the elder son was a cunning hunter and a man of the field (Gen.25:27).

4. Jacob, the younger son was a plain man, dwelling in tents (Gen.25:27).

5. Esau was the beloved of his father; Jacob was the beloved of his mother (Gen.25:28).

6. Esau despised his birthright to satisfy his hunger (Gen.25:29-34).

Moral

Esau lost his birthright for one morsel of meat. We should not be like him and lose important spiritual blessings for the sake of worldly pleasures.
