Joseph’s Two Dreams

Gen. 37:1-11
Lesson Content
1. Twelve sons were born to Jacob, and Joseph was the son of his old age. So Jacob loved him greatly and made him a coat of many colours. Joseph used to bring to his father, the evil report of his brothers (Gen.37:2,3).
2. His brothers hated him, because their father loved him more than all of them (Gen.37:4).
3. At th is time, Joseph saw a dream and told his brethren. In his dream he saw the sheaves of his brothers standing round about and making obeisance to his sheaf (Gen.37:5-7).
4. On hearing this dream, his brothers hated him even more (Gen.37:8).
5. Joseph had a nother dream which he told his father and brethren. He saw the sun, the moon and the eleven stars making obeisance to him (Gen.37:9).
6. His father rebuked him saying, “Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?” (Gen.37:10).
7. His brethren envied him. But his father observed the saying (Gen.37:11).
Moral
If we hate sin and live a life pleasing God, He will bless us and reveal the mysteries of heaven to us.
