Moses on Mount Sinai

Exo.19; 20; 24; 25:1-9; 31:18

Lesson Content

1. God wanted to reveal Himself to His people in His glory and power.

2. The people were sanctified at the foot of mount Sinai (Exo. 19:14).

3. God descended on the top of mount Sinai and called Moses up to the top (Exo.19:20).

4. God asked Moses to go down and warn the people, including the priests, not to touch the mountain (Exo. 19:12,21-24).

5. Moses went down and spoke to the people (Exo.19:25).

6. God spoke to the people the words of commandments and the statutes and judgment which they should observe (Exo. ch.20. See also Lesson No. 4).

7. God again called Moses, Aaron and a few others to come up into the mountain (Exo.24:1,2).

8. Moses was with the Lord in the mount forty days and forty nights (Exo.24:18).

9. God revealed to him the p attern concerning the tabernacle to be made (Exo. 25:8,9).

10. God also gave him two tables of testimony (tables of stone) written with His finger (Exo.31:18).

Moral

Our God is glorious in holiness. To hear His voice we should cleanse ourselves.
