The Servant Who Showed no Compassion

Lesson Content
1. Peter questioning Jesus about forgiving his brother who sinned against him and the reply given by Jesus (Matt.18:21,22).
2. A king and a servant who owed him ten thousand talents (Matt.18:23,24).
3. Since he had no means to pay the debt, the king commanded him to be sold along with his wife, children and all that he had, for payment to be made (Matt.18:25).
4. The servant fell down and worshipped him an d begged for time to pay the debt (Matt.18:26).
5. The king was moved with compassion and forgave him the debt (Matt.18:27).
6. This servant met his fellow -servant who owed him hundred pence, laid hands on him and took him by the throat (Matt.18:28).
7. Th e fellow -servant begged for time to pay the debt, but he cast him into prison (Matt.18:29,30).
8. His fellow-servants told the king about it (Matt. 18:31).
9. The king called the first servant, rebuked him, and delivered him to the tormentors till he paid the debt (Matt.18:32-34).
10. The truth that Jesus revealed through this (Matt. 18:35).
Moral
Just as Jesus forgave us all our sins, we too should forgive others. If we do not forgive, He will also do likewise to us.
