The Ten Commandments

Exo. 20:1-17
Lesson Content
The ten commandments given by the Lord to the children of Israel through Moses are:
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me (Exo. 20:3).
2. Thou shalt not make any graven image, or the likeness of anything or bow down to them or serve them (Exo.20:4,5).
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain (Exo.20:7).
4. Thou shalt remember the sabbath, to keep it holy (Exo. 20:8).
5. Thou shalt honour thy father and thy mother (Exo.20:12).
6. Thou shalt not kill (Exo.20:13).
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery (Exo.20:14).
8. Thou shalt not steal (Exo.20:15).
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour (Exo.20:16).
10. Thou shalt not covet anything that is thy neighbour’s (Exo.20:17).
Moral
If we love God and keep His commandments in our life, we will escape the eternal judgment.
