Saul Loses Kingship

Lesson Content
1.The Ammonites came up against Jabesh -gilead (I Sam.11:1-5).
2. Saul fought against the Ammonites and slew them (I Sam.11:6-11).
3. Saul’s kingship was confirmed by the people (I Sam.11:12-15).
4. God’s commandment to Saul concerning the Amalekites (I Sam.15:1-3).
5. Saul fought against the Amalekites and prevailed (I Sam.15:4-8).
6. Saul’s disobedience in sparing Agag, the king, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs and all that was good, of the Amalekites (I Sam.15:9).
7. The Lord repented of setting up Saul to be king (I Sam.15:10,11).
8. When Samuel met Saul, Saul claimed to have performed the commandment of the Lord. Samuel asked him about the bleating of the sheep and the lowing of the oxen that he heard (I Sam.15:13,14).
9. Saul’s excuse (I Sam.15:15).
10. Samuel told Saul that the Lord had rejected him from being king because he had rejected the word of the Lord (I Sam.15:23).
11. The Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and an evil spirit troubled him (I Sam.16:14).
Moral
To receive the blessings of God, we should remain in the place where God has kept us and should always obey His commandments fully.
