Ruth in Moab

Ruth 1:1-18

Lesson Content

1. Elimelech and Noami with their two sons Mahlon and Chilion, left Bethlehem and went to sojourn in Moab on account of a famine in Bethlehem (Ruth 1:1,2).

2. Elimelech passed away in Moab (Ruth 1:3).

3. The two sons married Moabite women, but both the sons passed away after some time (Ruth 1:4,5).

4. Noami set out from the land of Moab to Bethlehem with her daughters -in- law hearing that the Lord had visited His people in giving them bread (Ruth 1:6,7).

5. The conversation on the way — Orpah, one daughter-in-law went back, but Ruth, the other daughter-in-law clave to Noami (Ruth 1:8-14).

6. Ruth’s steadfastness and her confession (Ruth 1:15-18).

Moral

Just as Ruth followed Noami, we too should follow the saints and keep their fellowship even amidst difficulties and loss.
