Standard 8 · Lesson 15

Separation (Part II)

Lesson Content

Perverse in Life:

(a) The unconverted: We should separate ourselves from unconverted people (II Cor.6:14-17).

(b) The wicked brethren: We should not keep company with a brother, a believer, if he li ves in sins like fornication. Such a person should be put out of the church (I Cor.5:11,13).

(c) The disorderly brethren: We should separate from those believers who once lived according to the Word of God and afterwards live a disorderly life (II Thess.3:6,14).

(d) We must avoid brethren who cause divisions in the church (Rom.16:17).

(e) We must turn away from those who have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof (II Tim.3:1-5).

Moral

Fellowship with unbelievers and brethren who live disorder ly lives, may cause a child of God to lose the divine nature he has gained. So we should separate ourselves from such people.

Memory Verse

“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

II Corinthians 6:16-18
