Mordecai and Haman

1. The conspiracy of Bigthan and Teresh, against king Ahasuerus was informed (Esth.2:21,22).

2. Bigthan and Teresh were hanged (Esth.2:23).

3. Haman was exalted (Esth.3:1).

4. Haman hated Mordecai (Esth.3:2-5).

5. Haman planned to destroy the Jews, obtained the king’s decree and sent letters by posts into all the provinces (Esth.3:6-14).

6. The city of Shushan was perplexed (Esth.3:15).

7. Mordecai’s cry — great mourning among the Jews (Esth.4:1-3).

8. The messages exchanged between Esther and Mordecai (Esth.4:5-16).

9. Esther boldly went to the king. The king and Haman invited for her banquet (Esth.5:1-4).

10. After the first day’s feast, Haman returned home — the conversation at home — the plan to make gallows (Esth.5:9-14).

Moral

When we plead with the Lord with fasting and prayer, He will give us victory over our enemies. The wicked shall fall into the pit which he himself digged.
